The wisdom of Charles Krauthammer must be printed in full:

WASHINGTON -- Janet Napolitano -- former Arizona governor, now overmatched secretary of homeland security -- will forever be remembered for having said of the attempt to bring down an airliner over Detroit: "The system worked." The attacker's concerned father had warned U.S. authorities about his son's jihadist tendencies. The would-be bomber paid cash and checked no luggage on a transoceanic flight. He was nonetheless allowed to fly, and would have killed 288 people in the air alone, save for a faulty detonator and quick actions by a few passengers.

Heck of a job, Brownie.

The reason the country is uneasy about the Obama administration's response to this attack is a distinct sense of not just incompetence but incomprehension. From the very beginning, President Obama has relentlessly tried to downplay and deny the nature of the terrorist threat we continue to face. Napolitano renames terrorism "man-caused disasters." Obama goes abroad and pledges to cleanse America of its post-9/11 counterterrorist sins. Hence, Guantanamo will close, CIA interrogators will face a special prosecutor, and Khalid Sheik Mohammed will bask in a civilian trial in New York -- a trifecta of political correctness and image management.

And just to make sure even the dimmest understand, Obama banishes the term "war on terror." It's over -- that is, if it ever existed.

Obama may have declared the war over. Unfortunately al-Qaeda has not. Which gives new meaning to the term "asymmetric warfare."

And produces linguistic -- and logical -- oddities that littered Obama's public pronouncements following the Christmas Day attack. In his first statement, Obama referred to Umar Farouk Abdulmutallab as "an isolated extremist." This is the same president who, after the Ford Hood shooting, warned us "against jumping to conclusions" -- code for daring to associate Nidal Hasan's mass murder with his Islamist ideology. Yet, with Abdulmutallab, Obama jumped immediately to the conclusion, against all existing evidence, that the bomber acted alone.

More jarring still were Obama's references to the terrorist as a "suspect" who "allegedly tried to ignite an explosive device." You can hear the echo of FDR: "Yesterday, December 7, 1941 -- a date which will live in infamy -- Japanese naval and air force suspects allegedly bombed Pearl Harbor."

Obama reassured the nation that this "suspect" had been charged. Reassurance? The president should be saying: We have captured an enemy combatant -- an illegal combatant under the laws of war: no uniform, direct attack on civilians -- and now to prevent future attacks, he is being interrogated regarding information he may have about al-Qaeda in Yemen.

Instead, Abdulmutallab is dispatched to some Detroit-area jail and immediately lawyered up. At which point -- surprise! -- he stops talking.

This absurdity renders hollow Obama's declaration that "we will not rest until we find all who were involved." Once we've given Abdulmutallab the right to remain silent, we have gratuitously forfeited our right to find out from him precisely who else was involved, namely those who trained, instructed, armed and sent him.

This is all quite mad even in Obama's terms. He sends 30,000 troops to fight terror overseas, yet if any terrorists come to attack us here, they are magically transformed from enemy into defendant.

The logic is perverse. If we find Abdulmutallab in an al-Qaeda training camp in Yemen, where he is merely preparing for a terror attack, we snuff him out with a Predator -- no judge, no jury, no qualms. But if we catch him in the United States in the very act of mass murder, he instantly acquires protection not just from execution by drone but even from interrogation.

The president said that this incident highlights "the nature of those who threaten our homeland." But the president is constantly denying the nature of those who threaten our homeland. On Tuesday, he referred five times to Abdulmutallab (and his terrorist ilk) as "extremist(s)."

A man who shoots abortion doctors is an extremist. An eco-fanatic who torches logging sites is an extremist. Abdulmutallab is not one of these. He is a jihadist. And unlike the guys who shoot abortion doctors, jihadists have cells all over the world; they blow up trains in London, nightclubs in Bali and airplanes over Detroit (if they can); and are openly pledged to war on America.

Any government can through laxity let someone slip through the cracks. But a government that refuses to admit that we are at war, indeed, refuses even to name the enemy -- jihadist is a word banished from the Obama lexicon -- turns laxity into a governing philosophy.

I pray God the Obama administrations gets it soon.

For the first time in my life, I am without health insurance and it is a terrible feeling...

Since I care more about my country than my personal pride, here's how I lost my insurance: I moved. That's right, I moved from Washington, D.C., back to Massachusetts, a state with universal health care...

While the state has the lowest rate of uninsured, a report by the Commonwealth Fund states that Massachusetts has the highest premiums in the country. The state's budget is a mess and lawmakers had to make deep cuts in services and increase the sales tax to close gaps. The number of people needing assistance has at times overwhelmed the state. The mandate means that some people who can't afford insurance are now being slapped with a fine they also can't afford. There is no "public option" in the way the president describes it, no inter-state competition, no pool for small businesses and self-employed individuals like me to buy into groups that negotiate cheaper rates. So far I haven't found any "death panels," but if I get sick and need a hospital, I sure hope I can find one and a feisty granny to pull my plug.

Recently, the Orange County Business Council conducted a research study into this question and the findings were quite striking:

• Californians pay between five and fifteen cents per gallon extra due to increased fuel refining costs required by the special gasoline blends required by the California Air Resources Board.

• Because few refineries are equipped to make this special blend, availability is often limited and price is affected when these refineries break down or close for maintenance.

• State gas taxes, at 35.3 cents per gallon, are 43% higher than the national average. Only New York charges more.

• California is a “fuel island” with no pipelines linking us to domestic oil supplies. Thus, all crude oil must come here by tanker. We also have a limited capacity for storage, having lost six million barrels of storage capacity in the last 15 years.

• California has not opened a new gasoline refinery since 1969, and 20 refineries have closed since 1980. Thus our refineries are forced to become more efficient, but they have only increased their capacity by one half of one percent (0.5%) between 1995 and 2006. During this same period, fuel sales increased by 18%.

The report concludes: “Because unplanned outages and ‘shocks to the system’ will never go away, California’s current fuel standard differentiation puts the state in a continual risky, precarious position. Consequently, there will continue to be consumer outrage, media reports, and other negative ramifications over high and lengthy fuel price spikes unless there are constructive measures taken to address (these) policy impacts.”

Your (liberal's) track record on running things efficiently is abysmal, and you need to stop poking the federal government's nose in to the private sector. Need proof:

The U.S. Postal Service was established in 1775 – the federal government had 234 years to get it right; it is broke.

Social Security was established in 1935 - the federal government 74 years to get it right; it is broke.

Fannie Mae was established in 1938 - the federal government had 71 years to get it right; it is broke.

The "War on Poverty" started in 1964 - the federal government had 45 years to get it right; $1 trillion of our money is confiscated each year and transferred to "the poor"; it hasn't worked and our entire country is broke. We still have the same number of poor as we did when the program started.

Medicare and Medicaid were established in 1965 - the federal government had 44 years to get it right; they are broke.

Freddie Mac was established in 1970 - the federal government had 39 years to get it right; it is broke.

Trillions of dollars were spent in the massive political payoffs called TARP, the "Stimulus", the Omnibus Appropriations Act of 2009... NONE show any signs of working, although ACORN and APOLLO appear to have found a new funding source for its illegal racketeering activities: the American taxpayer.

Cash for Clunkers" was established in 2009 and went broke in 2009! It took good dependable cars (that were the best some people could afford) and replaced them with high-priced and less-affordable cars, mostly Japanese. A good percentage of the profits went out of the country, and the American taxpayers take the hit for Congress' generosity in burning three billion more of our dollars on failed experiments.

So with a perfect 100% failure rate and a record that proves that "services" you shove down our throats are failing faster and faster, you want Americans to believe you can be trusted with a government-run health care system? 20% of our entire economy?

- to allow for the dispensing of controlled substance by appropriate personnel consistent with federal statutes as necessary for the prevention or treatment of illness;

- to authorize the chief medical examiner to appoint and prescribe the duties of such emergency assistant medical examiners as may be required for the proper performance of the duties of office;

- to collect specimens and perform tests on any animal, living or deceased;

- to exercise authority under sections 95 and 96 of chapter 111;

- to care for any emerging mental health or crisis counseling needs that individuals may exhibit, with the consent of the individuals

Do you really think Obama and Gibbs don't know what in the ObamaCare bill, H.R. 3200? Of course not. They are liers, plain and simple. [Hmmmm.....I seem to recall the same thing being said about President Bush. I guess it's different know that it's Obama. Can't touch him....Don't go there.] I digress.

Their strategy is simple, Obama gets to tell the public (lie) that the plan isn't that awful and people are distorting it, while Congress passes it with all of those awful things any way. Once passed, Obama will sign it and say Oh well, it's better than no reform at all.

I have two friends that recently received major medical care. One, received a new hip. He is over 50. The other needs surgery to fix a major foot injury that could heal on its own but would be a major problem in his later years. He is over 50 too. Under ObamaCare and a rationing system of medical delivery, neither would have received the care they needed when they needed it, let alone if at all. They might have been told to just take a pain pill as doctor Obama was quoted as saying.

So, what's in the bill...

On page 399 of the bill, the legislation states that if you are a subsidy-eligible individual under Medicare Part D, the government will automatically enroll you in the new socialized plan, complete with rationed care. In other words, you have no choice. You cannot keep your current plan. Obama lied about 'maintaining choice.'

On page 341, lines 3-9, the government is given the authority to disqualify Medicare Adv Plans, HMOs, etc., forcing people into the government's socialized plan.

And here is the smoking gun from the legislation that should cause all Americans to take pause and allow the chill to go up their spines. I quote directly from the plan:

Page 335, Lines 16-25, Pages 336-339 – Government mandates the establishment of 'outcome based measures.'

What does this mean, exactly, in laymen's terms? Rationing. 'Outcomes based measures' means that the the type of care that is given is based upon a statistical consideration of just how likely or unlikely you may be to gain longterm benefit from such care. Much of this is an inexact science which relies heavily upon individual needs and circumstances, which only a patient and their doctor can determine. But here, you won't have that luxury. Neither will your doctor.

Who sets the standard and makes these determinations? The government...from a centralized databank hundreds or thousands of miles away.

But let's go further, shall we?

In the bill currently before Congress, the government will mandate how hospitals and doctors conduct business. Government will dictate to doctors how much they can own, and prevent hospitals from expanding! These provisions are found on pages 317-319 of the bill.

Yet another smoking gun contained in Obamacare is the complete decimation of the right to privacy. Under the proposed legislation, you have no right to medical privacy. Government collection of your records will be 'expedited' and they will have the authority to share your private information with anyone they see fit. (Page 304, Lines 17-19).

Are you concerned about long waiting lines for your care, as is true in Canada, Great Britain, and other nations with 'socialized medicine?' Here's one just for you. On page 287 the bill mandates a waiting period if you need to be readmitted to a hospital due to an illness or injury, regardless of how serious your condition may be. If they don't get it right the first time, you will have to wait to get re-treated.

Two more horrifying items from the bill are worth mentioning before we take a break from this murderous monstrosity taken straight from the pages of Hitler's Nazis, Stalin's Commies, and Mussolini's fascists.

One, on page 253, lines 10-18, the government places an arbitrary value on your doctor's time, professional judgments, and upon human life in general. Your government will then see you as nothing more than a dollar figure when it comes to your healthcare.

And on page 265, Section 1131, the government will place limits/mandates on private healthcare corporations, slapping on something it calls 'productivity controls.' The ultimate goal, of course, is to drive them out of business, and this merely gets the job done faster.

Credit for this cost containment goes in large part to the National Institute for Health and Clinical Excellence, or NICE. Americans should understand how NICE works because under ObamaCare it will eventually be coming to a hospital near you, says the Wall Street Journal.

The British officials who established NICE in the late 1990s pitched it as a body that would ensure that the government-run National Health System used "best practices" in medicine. What NICE has become in practice is a rationing board. As health costs have exploded in Britain as in most developed countries, NICE has become the heavy that reduces spending by limiting the treatments that 61 million citizens are allowed to receive through the NHS, says the Journal. For example:

In March, NICE ruled against the use of two drugs, Lapatinib and Sutent, that prolong the life of those with certain forms of breast and stomach cancer.

This followed on a 2008 ruling against drugs -- including Sutent, which costs about $50,000 -- that would help terminally ill kidney-cancer patients.

After last year's ruling, Peter Littlejohns, NICE's clinical and public health director, noted that "there is a limited pot of money," that the drugs were of "marginal benefit at quite often an extreme cost," and the money might be better spent elsewhere.

In 2007, the board restricted access to two drugs for macular degeneration, a cause of blindness:

The drug Macugen was blocked outright. The other, Lucentis, was limited to a particular category of individuals with the disease, restricting it to about one in five sufferers.

Even then, the drug was only approved for use in one eye, meaning those lucky enough to get it would still go blind in the other.

As Andrew Dillon, the chief executive of NICE, explained at the time: "When treatments are very expensive, we have to use them where they give the most benefit to patients."

NICE has limited the use of Alzheimer's drugs, including Aricept, for patients in the early stages of the disease. Doctors in the United Kingdom argued vociferously that the most effective way to slow the progress of the disease is to give drugs at the first sign of dementia. NICE ruled the drugs were not "cost effective" in early stages.

His stimulus package, raising the deficit damaged the recovery by raising interest rates. Now he will complete the catastrophe by raising taxes. Together, these tax hikes and interest rate increases will choke off any recovery the business cycle would naturally catalyze.

The budget deficit this year is projected to reach $1.85 trillion, equivalent to 13 percent of the nation’s economy, according to the nonpartisan Congressional Budget Office.

This may not be what you voted for, but I'll bet you a wooden nickel deep down inside you knew this was possible. All for the promise of fairness for the middle class. Well, here is what we get.

“Either cuts in spending or increases in taxes will be necessary to stabilize the fiscal situation,” Bernanke said in response to a question. “The Federal Reserve will not monetize the debt.”

At some point, this government will have to reconcile accounts. Either:

A sign of the times. If we the citizens do not stand up for our Constitution, it will dissolve and cease to exist. Attached [see the link above] is an example of unconstitutional behavior by a government that they believe to be correct and acceptable. However, it is an obvious and incredible violation of individual freedom of religion, free speech, and freedom of assembly.

Our President recently stated in a speech standing in front of the Constitution that he knows the Constitution because he studied it, taught it, and practiced Constitutional law. Many disagree with his interpretaions however. For this reason, the American public is in danger of being lulled into accepting one persons statements regarding what the Constitution says and stands for. He holds many views and has already embarked on actions that many view as easily unconstitutional, but no one seems to have the political will to confront those views or actions. It is insidious, but this is how the foundations encapsuled in our Constitution will be dissolved and lost.

The Executive and Judicial branches are continually creeping beyond their Constitutional limits, and we currently have a Supreme Court nominee that has stated beliefs that directly contradict the Constitutional definiton and role of the Supreme Court Justice. Little by litle, the Constitution is becoming less relevant to our government. The Constitution is the "modulator" of our government and our American society, in that it prevents government from getting too far out of line one way or the other. Without it as the defining standard, we fall into rule dictated by the whim of whomever is in power at the moment, be they too far left or too far right. Without that modulator, we have no definitive standard and our society falls into chaos.

Without personal anamous toward anyone, or any political interest, I feel compelled to point out that the nature of our societal structure is on the verge of collapsing. The attached article [link above] clearly illustratates the degree of restrictions deemed acceptble by some governments show what can become of a society where the literal words of the Constitution are not followed. Within a few short years, that makes the Constitution inapplicable, and we become no better than any other fascist regime that has ever existed, where laws are based upon the personal beliefs of individual rulers, and not by a single unerring standard.

I ask that you simply be aware of these conditions, and do not be afraid to speak to your elected representatives when they start to operate outside of their authority. To do less is to risk permanent change of the fabric of the freedoms and liberties inherent in the country that we have all known our entire lives. When that happens, America no longer exists.

A US weapons lab on Friday pulled back the curtain on a super laser with the power to burn as hot as a star.
The National Ignition Facility's main purpose is to serve as a tool for gauging the reliability and safety of the US nuclear weapons arsenal but scientists say it could deliver breakthroughs in safe fusion power.

"We have invented the world's largest laser system," actor-turned-governor Arnold Schwarzenegger said during a dedication ceremony attended by thousands including state and national officials.

"We can create the stars right here on earth. And I can see already my friends in Hollywood being very upset that their stuff that they show on the big screen is obsolete. We have the real stuff right here."

NIF is touted as the world's highest-energy laser system. It is located inside the Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory about an hour's drive from San Francisco.

Equipment connected to a house-sized sphere can focus 192 laser beams on a small point, generating temperatures and pressures that exist at cores of stars or giant planets.

NIF will be able to create conditions and conduct experiments never before possible on Earth, according to the laboratory.

A fusion reaction triggered by the super laser hitting hydrogen atoms will produce more energy than was required to prompt "ignition," according to NIF director Edward Moses.

"This is the long-sought goal of 'energy gain' that has been the goal of fusion researchers for more than half a century," Moses said.

"NIF's success will be a scientific breakthrough of historic significance; the first demonstration of fusion ignition in a laboratory setting, duplicating on Earth the processes that power the stars."

Construction of the NIF began in 1997, funded by the US Department of Energy National Nuclear Security Administration (NNSA).

"NIF, a cornerstone of the National Nuclear Security Administration's effort to maintain our nuclear deterrent without nuclear testing, will play a vital role in reshaping national security in the 21st century," said NNSA administrator Tom D'Agostino.

"This one-of-a-kind facility is the only place in the world that is capable of providing some of the most critical technical means to safely maintain the viability of the nation's nuclear stockpile."

Scientists say that NIF also promises groundbreaking discoveries in planetary science and astrophysics by recreating conditions that exist in supernovas, black holes, and in the cores of giant planets.

Electricity derived from fusion reactions similar to what takes place in the sun could help sate humanity's growing appetite for green energy, according to lab officials.

"Very shortly we will engage in what many believe to be this nation's greatest challenge thus far, one that confronts not only the nation but all of mankind -- energy independence," said lab director George Miller.

The lab was founded in 1952 and describes itself as a research institution for science and technology applied to national security.

"This laser system is an incredible success not just for California, but for our country and our world," Schwarzenegger said.

"NIF has the potential to revolutionize our energy system, teaching us a new way to harness the energy of the sun to power our cars and homes."

After all those years listening to the vitriol and hate towards President Bush, I am tempted to sink to that level about the POTUS. However, regaining composure I will simply just say that POTUS is either a liar or the most incredibly naive person on the earth.

After 100 days, POTUS is fundamentally changing the nature of our country, and not for the better. He claims that all this will save jobs and deficits. So, after 100 days, what do we have so far:

OBAMA: "We began by passing a Recovery Act that has already saved or created over 150,000 jobs." -- from news conference.

THE FACTS: This assertion is dubious on several levels. For starters, the U.S. has lost more than 1.2 million jobs since Obama took office, according to the Bureau of Labor Statistics. Even if Obama's stimulus bill saved or created as many jobs as he says, that number is dwarfed by the number of recent job losses.

But Obama's number is murky, at best. The White House has not yet announced how it intends to count jobs created by the stimulus bill. Obama's number is based on a job-counting formula that his economists have developed but have not made public. Until that formula is announced --probably in the coming week or so -- there's no way to assess its accuracy.

Whatever the formula, economists who study job creation say it will require some creative math. That's because Obama has lumped "jobs saved" in with "jobs created." Even economists for organizations that stand to benefit from the stimulus concede it probably is impossible to estimate saved jobs because that would require calculating a hypothetical: how many people would have lost their jobs without the stimulus.

THE FACTS: While the budget does set a roadmap for achieving the president's goals, it says nothing about how to pay for his health plan, expected to cost more than $1 trillion over the next 10 years. And while the deficit, under the plan, would drop to $523 billion in 2014, it achieves it with unrealistic assumptions, such as projections that spending in Iraq and Afghanistan will amount to only $50 billion a year.

OBAMA: "Number one, we inherited a $1.3 trillion deficit....That wasn't me." -- in Missouri.

THE FACTS:

Congress, under Democratic control in 2007 and 2008, held the purse strings that led to the deficit Obama inherited. A Republican president, George W. Bush, had a role too: He signed the legislation.

Obama supported the emergency financial bailout package in Bush's final months -- a package Democratic leaders wanted to make bigger.

To be sure, Obama opposed the Iraq war, a drain on federal coffers for six years before he became president. But with one major exception, he voted in support of Iraq war spending.

The nonpartisan Committee for a Responsible Federal Budget has estimated Obama's policy proposals would add a net $428 billion to the deficit over four years, even accounting for his spending reduction goals. Now, the deficit is nearly quadrupling to $1.75 trillion.

OBAMA: "I think one basic principle that we know is that the more we do on the (disease) prevention side, the more we can obtain serious savings down the road. ... If we're making those investments, we will save huge amounts of money in the long term." -- in Missouri.

THE FACTS: It sounds believable that preventing illness should be cheaper than treating it, and indeed that's the case with steps like preventing smoking and improving diet and exercise. But during the 2008 campaign, when Obama and other presidential candidates were touting a focus on preventive care, the New England Journal of Medicine cautioned that "sweeping statements about the cost-saving potential of prevention, however, are overreaching." It said that "although some preventive measures do save money, the vast majority reviewed in the health economics literature do not."

And a study released in December by the Congressional Budget Office found that increasing preventive care "could improve people's health but would probably generate either modest reductions in the overall costs of health care or increases in such spending within a 10-year budgetary time frame."

OBAMA: "You could cut (Social Security) benefits. You could raise the tax on everybody so everybody's payroll tax goes up a little bit. Or you can do what I think is probably the best solution, which is you can raise the cap on the payroll tax." -- in Missouri.

THE FACTS: Obama's proposal would reduce the Social Security trust fund's deficit by less than half, according to the nonpartisan Tax Policy Center.

That means he would still have to cut benefits, raise the payroll tax rate, raise the retirement age or some combination of these measures to deal with the program's long-term imbalance.

Workers currently pay 6.2 percent and their employers pay an equal rate -- for a total of 12.4 percent -- on annual wages of up to $106,800, after which no more payroll tax is collected.

Obama wants workers making more than $250,000 to pay payroll tax on their income over that amount. That would still protect workers making under $250,000 from an additional burden. But it would raise much less money than removing the cap completely.

OBAMA: "My hope is that working in a bipartisan fashion we are going to be able to get a health care reform bill on my desk before the end of the year that we'll start seeing in the kinds of investments that will make everybody healthier." -- in Missouri.

THE FACTS: Obama has indeed expressed hope for a health care plan that has support from Democrats and Republicans. But his Democratic allies in Congress have just made that harder. The Democratic budget plan that Congress passed Wednesday gives Democrats the option of denying Republicans the normal right to block health care with a Senate filibuster. The filibuster tactic requires 60 votes to overcome, making it the GOP's main weapon to ensure a bipartisan outcome. The rules set by the budget mean that majority Democrats could potentially pass health care legislation without any Republican votes, sacrificing bipartisanship to achieve their goals.

I'm sure the moderates who voted for change have deep regrets now.

Governor Sanford (South Carolina) outlines in his article HERE persuasively how the recent stimulus bill hurts states and its people vis-a-vis kicking the budget can down the road.

He also points out very clearly that President Obama is anything but, "Hope and Change.'

"If we're going to spend money we don't have at the federal level, it becomes all the more important that our state balance sheet is in good order -- particularly if this is a protracted downturn. But many people do not realize that the stimulus money runs out in 24 months -- at which point South Carolina will be forced to find a new source of funding to sustain the new level of spending, or to make sharp cuts. Sure, I could kick the can down the road; in two years, I'll be safely out of office. But it would be irresponsible."

"One of Mr. Obama's central campaign themes was his pledge to do away with politics of the past. In his inaugural address, he proclaimed "an end to the petty grievances and false promises, the recriminations and worn-out dogmas, that for far too long have strangled our politics."

This idea connected with millions of voters, myself included. I've always believed ideas should rise and fall on their merits. In fact, I saw such historical significance in his candidacy and the change he spoke of that I published an op-ed on it before South Carolina's presidential primary last year. It was not an endorsement, but it did note the historic nature of his candidacy and the potential positive change in tone it represented. That potential may now be disappearing.

Last week I reached out to the president, asking for a federal waiver from restrictions on stimulus money. I got a most unusual response. Before I even received an acknowledgment of the request from the White House, I got word that the Democratic National Committee was launching campaign-style TV attack-ads against me for making it."

The President is turning this ship so hard to the left that many people shot with glee that the hope the wanted is now beginning to change.

Let's see how gleeful they are when they and their children are paying inflation driven higher proces for everything saddled with and ADDITIONAL $9 trillion debt THEY created. Can't blame that one on Former President Bush.

- Remove the mark-to-market accounting rule.
- Re-institute the up-tick rule.

Why have these simple ideas not been implemented yet?

Moreover, if you really wanted to stimulate the economy, why have you not proposed a temporary cut or elimination of the payroll tax? This would put cash immediately in the hands of working citizens (your constituents) and also in the hands of employers so they can invest in their own small businesses to expand and employ new people.

If you really want to help your people, why haven’t you done this yet?
